Entry Visa

Passport holders of EU countries, do not require entry visas to Italy. For participants from other countries we suggest you check the website of the Italy Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the following links or check with your local Italy embassy.

A letter of invitation from ECFG15 will be issued upon request. This invitation is prepared solely to assist with visa application or participation requirements, and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Program.

Climate and Clothing

Average temperatures in Rome in February: 4°C – 14°C (40°F – 57°F). Recurrent rains. Casual dress is appropriate for all conference occasions. Waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes are recommended for tours.

Electricity

The Italy power supply is single phase 230 volts at 50 Hertz.

Currency / Exchange

The currency unit in Italy is the EURO. International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at International Airports. We recommend that you change some money at the airport for immediate needs.

Liability

Participants are advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance coverage. The conference organizers shall not be liable for any loss or damage to property belonging to conference participants nor for personal injuries sustained during or as a result of the conference or during tours.

Shopping

Shops are generally open from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm or from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Most shopping centers are also open on Saturdays and Sundays until 22:00.
