Satellite Workshops

The following one-day workshops will bring together scientists to share scientific advances on specific fungal species or topics:

  • SW1 Asperfest17
  • SW2 Fusarium
  • SW3 Trichoderma
  • SW4 Colletotrichum
  • SW5 Neurospora crassa
  • SW6 Magnafest 2020
  • SW7 Reproducibility for everyone (No registration is needed)

Following the workshops, to be held at Sapienza main campus, participants can join the Welcome Reception at the Aula Magna.

The workshops will be open for registration on July 1st, 2019. Opening of a workshop may be contingent on a sufficient number of registrants. The deadline for workshop registration is February 5th, 2020.

To join a workshop: choose your workshop and proceed to the registration page to register.

The registration fee for each workshop is 80€ (excluding SW7 Reproducibility for everyone, which is for free).
For all workshops (excluding SW7 Reproducibility for everyone) the fee includes coffee breaks and a light lunch.

SW1
ASPERFEST

Participants of the 17th International Aspergillus Meeting will share current research on Aspergillus species. The meeting will include a poster session and talks. If you wish to submit an abstract to give a talk at the workshop or show a poster, please follow the same procedure used for ECFG15.

SW2
FUSARIUM

The purpose of this Workshop, which is traditionally planned as a yearly satellite event connected to either Asilomar or EFCG, is to gather expertise and to share current research on the genus Fusarium. The meeting will include oral contributions covering all aspects of genetics, functional genomics, host-fungal interactions, secondary metabolism, fungicide resistance, and genetic exploitation in both applied and industrial mycology. If you wish to submit an abstract to give a talk at the Fusarium workshop please follow the same procedure used for ECFG15 and the other satellite meetings.

SW3
TRICHODERMA, CLONOSTACHYS AND OTHER BIOCONTROL FUNGI

The purpose of this satellite meeting is to bring together scientists and industries from across Europe to discuss recent progress on Trichoderma and Clonostachys as well as on other biocontrol fungi. The meeting will cover all aspects of genetics, genomics and related topics of these organisms and their interactions with pathogens, plants and the environment.

REPRODUCIBILITY FOR EVERYONE

Reproducibility is a corner stone of science and sets is apart from pseudo-science. This workshop will introduce you to reproducible workflows and a range of tools, from method sharing websites, to basic data management ideas and open access repositories. This will help you share work with colleagues more effectively and allow others to build on what you have done. This workshop is supported by eLife, protocols.io, Addgene, and the Mozilla Science Foundation.
